The sixties was the decade that broke many fashion clothing rules. The late sixties saw the advent of the hippie movement along with its particular clothing fashions of bell-bottom jeans and flowing caftans made in batik prints and tie-dyes.

If you didn’t go for hippie fashion then you could chose the angel dress with its long, wide sleeves and skirt that was short and flared. The more conservative woman wore lounging pajamas with wide, pleated legs instead of frayed jeans. From culottes to the mini-skirt and the bikini, clothing became more daring and determined to bare as much flesh as possible. It wasn’t only skirts that became shorter, but the hemlines of dresses rose, with the whole of the western world’s younger females falling under the power. Even female suits reflected the trend with pastel colours, short skirts, boxy jackets with big buttons, topped off by the pillbox hat made popular by Jackie Kennedy.

Men in Fashion at the 2011 Latin Billboard Music Awards!

The 2011 Latin Billboard Music Awards is not just a showcase of talents but of course a rendezvous of different fashion sense and style! Let’s take a look at these gorgeous men who made the red carpet  hotter than ever as they took a pose showing off their unique fashion style:

First off, we have Cristian Castro, a Grammy Award-nominated Mexican pop singer, and one of the night’s presenters. He looked fresh and formal in that black tuxedo with a black bow.

Dyland and Lenny, Puerto Rican reggaeton duo arrives at Bank United Center in Miami, Florida showing off their rugged-classy fashion taste with matching cool shades adding up to the over-all fashion alert drama. This duo is nominated for the Latin Rhythm Airplay Artist of the Year, Duo or Group category.

Vicente Garcia’s get-up for that night reflects his character as young bold and creative. Really cool!

It always pays to dress up clean, classy and polished just like Mauricio Henao- a Columbian Telenovelas actor who rocked a black fitted suit at the 2011 Latin Billboard Music Awards.

Prince Royce is indeed the prince of the night as he bagged home three notable awards: Latin Artist of the Year, New:  Tropical Airplay Artist of the Year, Solo: Tropical Albums Artist of the Year, Solo and two nominations for the Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Male: Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Male:

Prince Royce is a singer-songwriter, musician and record producer from The Bronx, New York who just debuted his first single in 2010 but his songs remarkably made it to the top ten especially his hit singles “Stand by Me” and “Corazón Sin Cara”.

During the award’s night, Prince donned a simple black suit with pinkish polo and a fitted trouser.  He’s indeed a simple man with surprisingly magnificent talent!

Marc Anthony is manly as ever in that all-black fitted suit-which is his distinct signature style! This best selling tropical salsa artist of all time never ages physically and musically, as his songs still top the Billboard list and was nominated this year for two categories: Latin Album of the Year: Top Latin Albums Artist of the Year, Male. He also made the night especial as he performed his top hits for his fans!

Enrique Iglesias-the big winner of the night! He took home an impressive 9 awards out of 14 nominations! He triumphantly snatched the two prestigious awards of the night: Latin Artist of the Year and Latin Album of the Year. Other awards include: Hot Latin Song of the Year:  Enrique Iglesias Feat.
